Second Sketchbook

My drawing sessions have become less frequent with this book, and the results are feeling more tentative. I can find fewer pages where I like a characterization or two. It seems like I started searching for a smoother approach - the elegant gesture or shape - and drifted away from the sketch when I didn't hit the right idea on the first couple lines. There are some pages left in this book, but maybe I'll start a new one for the new year, and make a resolution to fill pages quicker.

Woodbine Racetrack. The two in the center are the same guy. Top one is stiff and boring, bottom one came off more interesting due to exaggeration.
